“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
Albert Einstein
Intuition sits alongside wisdom; it is knowledge at an unconscious level, uncluttered by rational thought. Entrepreneurial success relies on the ability to appreciate the intuitive mind in order to tap into the creative energy from which innovation arises.
To business owners and leaders – What is your vision for 2012 and beyond?
Have your leadership skills evolved to embrace the profound shifts and new forces that are shaping business? Traditional styles of leadership embedded in routine repetition are being replaced by new kinds of leadership. All leaders can be sure that the pace of change is only going to accelerate and new leadership styles are required; styles which help you get ahead in tough times, which allow for a leadership culture to flourish which empowers all people to participate with maximum levels of responsibility and initiative.
I provide a consultancy service similar to that of the support of a Non-Executive Director. If you wish to explore the strategy that underpins your vision, I can provide Executive coaching which provides a safe arena from which new ideas can be explored and practical action plans developed. We can map out the various risks your business may face, together with stress testing various potential outcomes. Optimising the outcome of your business requires many strengths and I can work with you to assess the financial management and business processes and systems that support your business. Inter personal skills are essential in today’s business and team development can lead to full engagement and commitment from all staff to optimise your business outcome. Do you have the right people in the right positions? I can do a Human Resource Assessment which can highlight if you are appropriately resourced. We can review your Marketing Strategy to ensure that the plan supports your overall business strategy.
I am available on a one to one hourly consultancy basis or if you require additional temporary support I am available on an interim basis to provide support in key business areas including Operational Management.
If you are curious about exploring these ideas further, please contact me for a free consultation.

Captain Sullenberger, the pilot who masterfully landed the aeroplane on New York’s Hudson River minutes after take-off on 15 Jan 2009 after the twin engines of the plane were disabled, has the following to say on leadership:
I regard a leader as someone who continues to learn and grow both professionally and personally. Leaders are able to invest in themselves.
- Draw from within something that can touch and inspire others.
- Have priorities and goals, and clearly articulate them in a way which will resonate with followers.
- Have goals that are in alignment
- Clearly articulate a direction to head in, how the team will get there, and what their part in it is, thus creating a shared sense of responsibility for the outcome.
- Rise to the occasion when called upon
